BE A DEMOCRATIC PRECINCT COMMITTEE PERSON
Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) are the building blocks of the Democratic Party of Kansas. They are elected every two years by Democratic voters in their precinct, and serve for two years. PCPs are the critical driving force behind registering voters, getting out the word on candidates, and helping Democrats understand the party’s structure, process, and platform. They are the people who go out, walk neighborhoods, and connect with and activate progressive Kansans, by talking to independent, unaffiliated, and Democratic voters alike. These are completely volunteer positions with time commitment and responsibilities largely set by each PCP individually.

Examples of Elected Democratic PCPs Duties and Activities:
Elect local party leadership
Have a voice and vote in filling state legislative vacancies
Help with the operations of the Riley County Democratic Party
Do outreach at community events
Help facilitate local Get-Out-The-Vote efforts
Help recruit volunteers and develop party membership
Represent your neighbors in the Party
Represent the Party in your community
